I was surprised to see the question following the video was: "When you have moments of denial, or betray your identity, what does it look like to go back to Jesus?" Seems that this theme of identity keeps showing up lately. Keeps taking me back to our current sermon series, and Dave saying that if we don't get the "identity" part figured out, its make everything else a lot harder. I think that is the difference between Jesus and Peter. Jesus seeks his identity, ultimately giving his life to fully live into it. Peter has to fail miserably, even after being warned by Jesus, before he starts to figure out and embrace his identity. How often has that been me?!?!?
